Martin Heaney

Martin trained as an actor and worked for many years as a facilitator and director in Theatre-in-Education. He is now a producer, academic, Associate Lecturer at the University of Winchester and completing a PhD in Drama. Freelance and as an Associate of the Map Consortium he delivers arts-based training for public sector organisations. He has worked extensively in primary Education as a researcher (for the Art of Creative Learning, Newham) and as an agent and producer for Creative Partnerships as well as devising and delivering courses for undergraduates in Creative Learning (Central School of Speech and Drama). His current research interests include art-making as a transitional space for community engagement and devising new approaches to the evaluation of social impacts of participation in the arts.
