I am preparing to show with Creative Cricklewood for one month in a local cafe on Cricklewood Broadway opening this Saturday evening.
Creative Cricklewood is an organic gathering of professional and amateur creatives living or working in Cricklewood. They meet once a month for an open mic night at the local Crown Pub. I went along at the beginning of June and was impressed by the enthusiasm, diversity of offerings and welcome extended to everyone. From risque stories by french storyteller Jean-Marc Pierre to exquisite music written and performed by ‘Panama Dave’ Parrett, snatched conversations with local artists Kevin Keating and Henryk Terpilowski. The evening was hugely enjoyable.
I am very much looking forward to installing work this evening in advance of the opening of the show on Saturday night. I believe we will have the pleasure of more music from Dave and maybe even a belly dancer! Now I just need to hope my painting is dry in time!
